A LOOK BACK AT OUR FOURTH BOOTCAMP FOR INTERNATIONAL ENTREPRENEURS AS PART OF TECH&FEST 2026
From February 3 to 5, 2026, Grenoble Alpes welcomed a delegation of 13 international startups for an immersive bootcamp at the heart of its innovation ecosystem.
For the first time, a bootcamp was integrated into the High Level Forum the annual meeting of the international network of innovation ecosystems. Launched in 2012 by GIANT and its local industrial and institutional partners, this event brings together a high-level international innovation community (decision-makers from higher education, research, industry, business, and public authorities, political figures from around the world, etc. all of whom are heavily involved in managing or promoting innovation within their regional ecosystems).
All of the start-ups were able to participate in the HLF’s opening session and master classes.
Other new features in 2026: eight start-ups from the European Skale2CT project supported by Grenoble Alpes Métropole joined the start-ups scouted by the Grenoble Alpes Agency and two start-ups from the UNITE! project supported by the University of Grenoble Alpes.
The bootcamp kicked off with a presentation on the region and its economic appeal. The startups then had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to half a dozen local partners and take part in a lively speed meeting session. The day ended with presentations by experts on financing innovation and developing businesses in France.
The second day was devoted to a visit to Tech&Fest, the innovation festival that brings together manufacturers, researchers, and entrepreneurs in Grenoble. This immersion allowed the startups to interact with key players in the ecosystem and explore potential opportunities for setting up or collaborating in the region.
Coming from Turkey, Japan, the United States, Taiwan, Spain, and Portugal, the participating companies represented a variety of sectors such as medtech, artificial intelligence, electronics, energy, and cybersecurity. Several are already considering setting up in France or developing partnerships with Grenoble-based players.
With its packed program focused on exchange and discovery, this Bootcamp once again confirms the appeal of Grenoble Alpes as a leading technology and entrepreneurial hub.
